When to Go: The best time to complete this trip is from March - June and from September - November
although it is possible to visit the destinations in any month during the
year. From late June - early September the monsoons are there which could obscure the views.
Some of the sights within are listed below:-
Delhi: India Gate, Houses of Parliament, Humayun's tomb, Red Fort,
Jama Masjid and many more sights.
Agra: Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Itamadh-Udh-Dhaula, Fatehpur sikri.
Shimla: Himachal State Museum & Library, Christ Church, Kakhu temple.
Manali: Hadimba temple, Gadhan Thekcholing Gompa, Old Manali town,
various soft adventure activities.
Dharamsala: Amazing city set in the Kangra Valley with sights such
as: Norbhulingka Institute, Triund Hill, Dalai Lama temple complex, HPCA
stadium (brilliant setting for watching IPL matches that usually take place
in May), Kangra Valley, Gyuto Monastery.

Arrival transfer from airport to hotel in Delhi for 3 night's
stay. |

DELHI - AGRA - DELHI. Transfer
from hotel to New Delhi station. Board
Shatabdi express train from Delhi - Agra (Times: 0600 - 0750.).Pick
up from station and drive to Fatehpur Sikri. Then drive back
to Agra to visit Itamadh-Udh-Dhaula, Agra Fort and finally the
Taj Mahal. Aim to reach the Taj around 1600 hrs so that it can
be viewed in normal light and also in the dusk light of the
setting sun. Then drive back to Agra Cantonment station to board
the Shatabdi express train to Delhi (Times:
2125 - 2350.). Transfer from New Delhi station to hotel. |

DELHI. Full day sightseeing of
Old & New Delhi. |

DELHI - SHIMLA. Transfer from hotel
to New Delhi station. Board Shatabdi express
train from Delhi - Kalka (times: 0740 - 1145). Then board the Himlayan
Queen toy train from Kalka - Shimla (times: 1210 - 1720.).
This train goes through beautiful valleys and
covers over a 100 tunnels. Transfer from railway station to
hotel/homestay for 3 night's stay. |
