Road as a means of travel allows a great method for viewing the street life in India. Two such examples are shown in the photographs above. It also offers a degree of luxury in that the itineraries are for individuals of two or more. The mode of transport is a car with driver. The car & driver are available for sightseeing at the destinations. Thus you have the flexibility of independent travel with hotels that you can pre-book in advance. Some popular routes are laid out below. However, they can be tailor-made to suit your requirements.

Generally, they are a combination of rail/hotel/car & driver itineraries. Sometimes there are train journeys and occassionally flights (that are to be booked directly or we can recommend agents to book the same.).. These are broad outlines. Alphabets in red represent car + driver itineraries for individuals for that section.
Alphabets in green means train travel for that section (generally in AC 2 Tier or AC 3 Tier unless stated otherwise).

Section in purple is classified as Great Rail Journeys (eg: Palace on Wheels or similar).
For example: DELHI (2 NTS) - AGRA (1 NT) - JAIPUR (2 NTS) (JAIPUR - UDAIPUR (2 NTS) - DELHI (1 NT)) DELHI - VARANASI (2 NTS).
The above would mean Delhi - Agra - Jaipur section is done for individuals using a private car & driver, Jaipur - Udaipur - Delhi is done by using internal flights and Delhi - Varanasi is done by train (generally in AC 2 Tier or AC 3 Tier unless stated otherwise).

This trip starts in Delhi and concludes in Delhi and entails a route covering India's Golden Triangle:
  • Delhi: India Gate, Houses of Parliament, Humayun's tomb, Red Fort, Jama Masjid and many more sights.
  • Agra: Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Itamadh-Udh-Dhaula, Fatehpur sikri.
  • Jaipur: The Palace of Winds, City Palace, Observatory, Amber Palace, Jaigarh fort and many more.

NORTH INDIA HIGHLIGHTS (10 NTS/ 11 DAYS)
This trip starts in Delhi and concludes in Varanasi and entails a route covering:
  • India's Golden Triangle (i.e. starting from Delhi covering Agra & Jaipur);
  • Gwalior and its magnificent fort which was once a Royal Prison;
  • Peaceful ghost city of Orcchha.
  • Erotic temple carvings of Khajuraho;
  • The holy towns of Chitrakut and Allahabad;
