Ootacamund: Hill station in South India made famous by the little narrow gauge rack & pinion railway connecting Mettupalayam and Ootacamund.
Mysore:Maharajah's Palace, Chamundi Hills, Brindavan Gardens, Jag Mohan Palace, important centre for sandalwood & silk products.
Madurai: Dravidian temple architechture at its best. A temple town with all the activities concentrated around the temple. Other sights worth visiting are Tirumalai Nayakar Palace.
Tiruchi: Temple town of Tamil Nadu known for the Rock Fort temple, Srirangam temple & Jambukeshwara temple.
Cochin: A inter-connection of islands. Diverse places to view such as The Jewish Synagogue, Mattancherry Palace, Fort Cochin. An excellent place to view Kathakali dancing (a unique motion of body and the facial features).
Goa: Known for its beaches, mapusa market and easy going life-style.

Day Itinerary
01 BOMBAY - Goa. Daytime scenic train ride along the Western Ghats from Bombay to Goa: 0655 -1845. 3 night's stay in hotel.
04 GOA - COCHIN. Catch overnight train from Goa to Cochin: 2055 - 1055*.
05 COCHIN. Arr Cochin at 1055 hrs. Three night's stay in Cochin.
08 COCHIN - TIRUCHI. Catch overnight train from Cochin to Tiruchi: 2210 - 0750*.
09 TIRUCHI. Arr Tiruchi 0750 hrs. Day in Tiruchi (no hotel provided). TIRUCHI - MADURAI. Train to Madurai:1730 - 2015. Overnight stay at hotel.
10 MADURAI - OOTACAMUND (via Coimbatore and Mettupalayam). Overnight train from Madurai to Podanur: 2320 - 0445.
11 COIMBATORE - OOTACAMUND. Arr Pdanur 0445 hrs. Road to Coimbatore (approx. 5 kms. Road cost not included). Coimbatore - Mettupalayam: 0515 - 0615. Mettupalayam. Catch toy train from Mettupalayam to Ootacamund for one of the great scenic rides in India (subject to operation due to weather conditions): 0750 - 1200. Overnight stay at hotel.
12 OOTACAMUND - MYSORE. Road from Ootacamund to Mysore (Road Cost not included). Two night's stay at Mysore.
14 MYSORE - BANGALORE. Day time train from Mysore - Bangalore: 1100 - 1325. Afternoon to wander in Bangalore (no hotel provided). BANGALORE - BOMBAY. Overnight train from Bangalore to Bombay: 2000 - 1955*.
17 BOMBAY. Arr Bombay 1955 hrs. Note: Section from Pune - Bombay on this train is another classic journey in India passing through rugged ghat scenery. Trip concludes on arrival in Bombay.
