Aurangabad: This is the base for visiting the Ajanta and Ellora caves (Kailasa temple is a very interesting monument). Other sights include: Daulatabad Fort, Bibi Ka Makbara, Grisheshwar.
Hyderabad: Charminar, Golconda Fort to name just a few sights.
Mysore:Maharajah's Palace, Chamundi Hills, Brindavan Gardens, Jag Mohan Palace, important centre for sandalwood & silk products.
Cochin: A inter-connection of islands. Diverse places to view such as The Jewish Synagogue, Mattancherry Palace, Fort Cochin. An excellent place to view Kathakali dancing (a unique motion of body and the facial features).
Kovalam: Known for its beaches.
Madurai: Dravidian temple architechture at its best. A temple town with all the activities concentrated around the temple. Other sights worth visiting are Tirumalai Nayakar Palace.
Madras: Kapaleeshwara temple, centre of Karnatic music and Bharata Natayam dance, excellent base for visiting Mammallapuram & Kancheepuram.

04 AURANGABAD - HYDERABAD. Catch overnight train from Aurangabad to Hyderabad: 1920 - 0900*.
05 HYDERABAD. Arr Hyderabad 0900 hrs. Day for exploring. Hotel not provided. HYDERABAD (Kacheguda station) - MYSORE via Bangalore. 1900 - 0625*.
06 MYSORE. Arr Bangalore 0625 hrs. Bangalore - Mysore:0700 - 1000. Two night's stay at hotel.
08 MYSORE - COCHIN via Bangalore. Train: Mysore - Bangalore: 1545 - 1845. Bangalore - Cochin: 2145 - 0935*.
