Kerala Backwaters: Travelling by boat along the Kerala backwaters is an experience not to be missed. The backwaters is an amazing network of lakes, canals, lagoons and rivers and coconut trees on the banks. You can view chinese fishing .nets and small village settlements along the narrow strips of land along the route.
Cochin: A inter-connection of islands. Diverse places to view such as The Jewish Synagogue, Mattancherry Palace, Fort Cochin. An excellent place to view Kathakali dancing (a unique motion of body and the facial features).
Periyar wildlife Park: Built around an artificial lake and very close to the spice hills this wildlife park has a spectacular setting. It is an excellent retreat to view wildlife and enjoy the setting. Various animals can be found such as bison, monkey, sambar, antelopes. The most exciting viewing is that of elephants walking along the banks of the waters.
Munnar: This is a highly under-rated hill station in India at 1520 m. Surrounded by green rolling hills and with tea growing estates, it is an excellent retreat from the travels.
Ootacamund: Hill station in South India made famous by the little narrow gauge rack & pinion railway connecting Mettupalayam and Ootacamund.
Mysore:Maharajah's Palace, Chamundi Hills, Brindavan Gardens, Jag Mohan Palace, important centre for sandalwood & silk products.
The Golden Chariot: Three nights in Luxury train covering the most interesting sections in Karnataka (i.e. World Heritage site of Hampi, The exquisite temple carvings of Belur & Halebid, monolithic statue of Gomateshwara at Sravan Belgola, Aihole (the building blocks of temple architechture), World Heritage site of Pattadakal, incredible rock carved cliff setting of Badami).
Goa: Notable for its' beaches, mapusa market and easy going life-style.

SUN	01	COCHIN. Arrival transfer from Cochin airport to hotel for 2 night's stay. Afternoon free to explore town.
MON	02	COCHIN. Car & driver available for full day sightseeing of Cochin.
TUE	03	COCHIN - ALLEPEY. Pick up from hotel in Cochin and drive onto Allepey boat jetty. Check in to houseboat for overnight stay on a full board basis inclusive of boat cruises in & around Allepey.
WED	04	ALLEPEY - PERIYAR. Early morning drive to Allepey. Board private motor boat for Kerala Backwaters boat trip with magnificent scenery. Then drive on to Periyar. Check in for 2 night's stay.
THU	05	PERIYAR. Day in Periyar Wildlife Reserve. (Note: Park rides and entry fees are not included). Afternoon free for exploration of the Spice Hills.
FRI	06	PERIYAR - MUNNAR. Morning at game reserve. Afternoon free for exploration of the Spice hills region. Then drive on to Munnar through the beautiful rolling hills scenery. Two night's stay in Munnar.
SAT	07	MUNNAR. Day at leisure for nature walks and leisurely strolls.
SUN	08	MUNNAR - OOTACAMUND. Morning drive on to Ootacamund for overnight stay. Car & driver acvailable for local sightseeing including the botanical gardens.
MON	09	OOTACAMUND - MYSORE. Morning drive from Ootacamund to Mysore for two night's stay. Afternoon drive onto Brindavan Gardens for viewing the Gardens and the evening lights.
TUE	10	MYSORE. Full day sightseeing of Mysore including Maharjah's Palace, Chamundi Hills & Srirangapatnam. Return to hotel for overnight stay.
WED	11	MYSORE.Morning drop off at Mysore Railway station to board the Golden Chariot. THE GOLDEN CHARIOT (MYSORE). For full details see the itinerary of the Golden Chariot. Board the Golden Chariot on a full board basis for 4 nights. Wednesday covers the main sites at Mysore plus a visit to Brindavan Gardens.
THU	11	THE GOLDEN CHARIOT (BELUR, HALEBID & SRAVAN BELGOLA). For full details see the itinerary of the Golden Chariot. Board the Golden Chariot on a full board basis for 3 nights. Thursday covers three of the great marvels in Karnatakan intricate rock carving architechture (i.e. Belur, Halebid & the monolithic statue of Gomateshwara in Sravan Belgola).
FRI	12	THE GOLDEN CHARIOT (HAMPI). For full details see the itinerary of the Golden Chariot. Full day sightseeing of Hampi a world heritage site steeped in history with a spectacular setting of boulder rocks.
SAT	13	THE GOLDEN CHARIOT (AIHOLE, PATTADAKAL & BADAMI). For full details see the itinerary of the Golden Chariot. This is probably the best way of concluding any sightseeing trip by covering Aihole (the building blocks of temple architechture), Pattadakal (a World Heritage site) and then the incredible rock carved cliff setting of Badami).
SUN	14	THE GOLDEN CHARIOT (GOA). For full details see the itinerary of the Golden Chariot. Morning arrival in Goa. Check out of the Golden Chariot after breakfast. Stay in hotel in Goa for 5 nights (Note: Transfer from The Golen Chariot train to hotel in Goa is not included).
FRI	19	Goa. Check out of hotel. Trip concludes.
