PERSONALISED ROAD ITINERARIES IN KERALA AND SOUTH INDIA.
Road as a means of travel allows a great method for viewing the natural
scenic beauty of the countryside in South India (Kerala in particular).
Examples are shown in the photographs above. It also offers a degree
of luxury in that the itineraries are for individuals of two or more.
The mode of transport is a car with driver. The car & driver are available
for sightseeing at the destinations. Thus you have the flexibility
of independent travel with hotels pre-booked in advance. Some popular
routes are laid out below. However, they can be tailor-made to suit
your requirements. There are two categories of hotels used (i.e. Standard
& Superior). Hotel accommodation is on a room only basis (unless stated
otherwise) and with attached shower/toilet facilities (Note: In India
the rooms are air conditioned).
Standard hotels are simple 2 - 3 * equivalent properties.
In some cases they are small family run properties which have been
very popular with our past customers.
Superior hotels are generally 3 - 5* properties. Again where
possible we have tried to aim for heritage properties in preference
to modern concrete block type properties. Note: The superior
heritage properties in Kerala tend to have a style similar to a
'Nalukettu' (traditional Keralan wood carved cottage home with a
central courtyard). There are very interesting places to stay such
as Coconut Lagoon in Kumarakom, Spice Holiday Village in Periyar
and Marari Beach Resort in Mararikulam.
