Leh Stopover (4 nts).

When to Go: The best time to visit Leh is in the summer from mid April - mid October as the winters are cold. If you are interested in taking the road from Manali to Leh, it is best to aim for travel from Jun - Sep. This is one of the few dry spots in India during the mosoon time from Jun - Sep making it the ideal place to vist during those months.
PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN: Enough time must be given for you to acclimatize due to the high altitude. If you wish to visit the Nubra Valley, you need to obtain a permit on a working day in Leh and you must have your documents photocopied and attested. This will be provided on receipt of the documents & fees by the authorities in Leh.

Some of the sights within are listed below:-
Leh: Amazing city with a moutainous desert landscape. It is home to the Leh Palace. An ideal base for visiting the Thiksey & Hemis Gompa and the Shey Palace. Also an ideal starting point for the visit to the Nubra valley.
Nubra Valley: This is tri-armed valley located to the North East of Laddakh valley. The Shyok river meets the Nubra or Siachan River to form a large valley that separates Laddakh from the Karakoram ranges. Accessed over the Khardung-La pass (one of the highest motorable passes in the world.).
